Ushuaia SUV-100 with Calibration LampThe Ushuaia installation, the fourth system added to the network, is located near the southern port city of Ushuaia, Argentina, at the Centro Austral de Investigaciones Cientificas (CADIC) facility. CADIC is a regional research center of the National Research Council of Argentina (CONICET). The installation is located in the foothills of the Andes, an area subject to frequent clouds.

The instrument is installed in the roof of the main CADIC building and is surrounded by mountains ranging in elevation from 2.5° (at bearings of 120° - 206°) to 17° (at bearings of 298° - 302°). Data is sent to Biospherical Instruments via e-mail attachment.
